Home Pickup Process

Bringing home your new German Shepherd puppy is an exciting milestone, and we’re committed to making the experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free.

Scheduling Your Pickup

Once your puppy is ready to leave for their forever home, we’ll work with you to arrange a convenient pickup date and time. Our goal is to make the process as simple and flexible as possible while ensuring your puppy is fully prepared for the transition.

Preparing Your Home

Before bringing your puppy home, we recommend preparing a comfortable space where they can feel safe and secure. Be sure to have the following ready:

  • A comfortable dog bed or crate

  • Food and water bowls

  • High-quality puppy food

  • Collar and leash

  • Puppy toys and chew toys

  • Puppy training pads (if needed)

Having these essentials in place will help your new companion settle in quickly.

Health & Safety

To provide the best possible start, we recommend that everyone in the household wash their hands before handling the puppy upon arrival. Keeping the environment clean and calm helps your puppy adjust comfortably to their new surroundings.

Meeting Your Puppy

During pickup, we’ll introduce you to your German Shepherd puppy and review everything you need to know before heading home. We’ll discuss:

  • Feeding schedule

  • Daily routine

  • Personality and temperament

  • Basic training tips

  • Health recommendations

  • Socialization advice

This is also the perfect opportunity to ask any final questions.

Health Records & Documentation

When you pick up your puppy, you’ll receive all important documentation, including:

  • Health Certificate

  • Vaccination Records

  • Deworming Record

  • Health Guarantee

  • AKC Registration Papers (if applicable)

  • Feeding and Care Instructions

These records will help ensure a smooth transition and make your first veterinary visit easy.

Bringing Your Puppy Home

For your puppy’s safety, transport them home in a secure travel crate or with an approved pet restraint.

Once home, allow your puppy time to explore their new environment at their own pace. Keep the first few days calm and avoid overwhelming them with too many visitors or new experiences. Establishing a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and rest will help your puppy feel comfortable and secure.

Continued Support

Our commitment doesn’t end once your puppy goes home. We’re always available to answer questions and provide guidance on:

  • Nutrition

  • House training

  • Crate training

  • Socialization

  • Obedience training

  • General health and wellness

We also recommend scheduling your puppy’s first veterinary check-up within a few days of bringing them home.

We look forward to helping you welcome your new German Shepherd into your family and are confident they’ll bring you years of loyalty, companionship, and unforgettable memories.

Shipping Information

Your German Shepherd puppy will travel in a spacious, airline-approved pet carrier within a climate-controlled and pressurized environment designed specifically for the safe transport of animals.

Before your puppy departs, you will receive:

  • Flight itinerary (if applicable)

  • Estimated arrival time

  • Pickup or delivery instructions

  • Emergency contact information during transit

Depending on your location, we offer airport pickup, home delivery, or ground transportation where available.

Our transportation partners are experienced in handling live animals and follow strict safety guidelines to ensure your puppy arrives healthy and comfortable.

Weather & Travel Safety

We closely monitor weather conditions before every shipment. If temperatures or weather conditions could affect your puppy’s safety, we will gladly reschedule transportation until it is safe to travel.

The health and welfare of every puppy will always take priority over shipping schedules.

For families who prefer a more personalized delivery experience, we also offer an Airline Flight Nanny service.

With this option, a dedicated flight nanny accompanies your German Shepherd puppy throughout the journey, providing constant care and attention until they are safely placed into your hands at your destination airport.

Arrival

Please ensure someone is available to receive your puppy at the scheduled delivery time or airport pickup location.

Upon arrival, allow your puppy time to rest and become familiar with their new surroundings. Most German Shepherd puppies adjust quickly when introduced to a calm and welcoming environment.

We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian within 48–72 hours of arrival to establish ongoing care and provide additional peace of mind.

Continued Support

Our commitment to your puppy doesn’t end at delivery. We will follow up after your puppy arrives to ensure everything is going well and to answer any questions you may have regarding feeding, training, health, or the transition into their new home.

We are always available to provide guidance and support throughout your German Shepherd’s life, and we look forward to being part of your puppy’s journey for years to come.
